Our Client Relationships
Our customers, are our most valuable asset.
In an effort to constantly improve our quality of service to the customer, we have discovered that clients—while each individual and distinct—fall into three different relationship levels.
These relationships are:
1) Product Based — for clients who are interested in a product-based relationship. This is for clients that already know what they need to do and are only interested in purchasing products through us, similiar to a broker. For this type of service we are only compensated through commissions from those product sales. We do not, however, provide a written analysis or in-depth recommendations on how you can best reach all of your goals.
2) Planning Based — for people who have already done a comprehensive written financial plan for a fee. We would typically meet once or twice a year and every 3-5 years it may be appropriate to do a complete update of the financial plan. Together we determine the frequency, based on changes in the client's personal situation. There is another fee each time we do an update financial plan.
3) Relationship Based — for clients that need and value a higher level of client service. This type of client is called relationship based, which means we would work more closely together to monitor and implement their financial plan. We would meet more often, typically three of four times a year to reevaluate your goals and investment positions and do regular updates, typically annually.
If there’s one thing we do at MetLife, we listen to our clients. And we want to listen to you. In order to determine the best way to serve you in the future.
